The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the group reach places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
